As an accomplished cyclist, Slade had the privilege of training with the U. National Cycling Team at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs as well as attending the 2003 Tour De France and competing professionally for over 10 years.
She also had the challenge of building relationships with Slade's two sons, Gavin and Grayson.
